When I started this company in 2014 I could only imagine the impact we would have. It started with a vision of a clean energy platform that would accelerate the adoption of clean energy worldwide. And years later, we are doing it!

A few highlights from last year

We launched Powur Vision, our proprietary Integrated Proposal Tool, revolutionizing how customers visualize and understand the impact of switching to solar.

In 2023, advanced battery and storage solutions, including the highly anticipated Tesla Powerwall 3, were launched, marking a significant leap in home energy management.

In 2023, we launched and improved our Enterprise Program, the most innovative platform designed to provide maximum control to solar sales organizations with multiple lead generation and sales professionals.

Powur proudly ranks on the Inc. 5000 list for the fourth consecutive year, reflecting our consistent growth and industry leadership.

A monumental milestone, Powur generated $1 billion in revenue, underscoring our financial strength and the trust our customers place in us.

In 2023, Powur expanded into three new markets, increasing our presence from 20 to 23 active markets and extending our clean energy solutions to even more communities!

How is this information calculated?

Customer Savings: Powur estimated lifetime savings for systems installed by Powur by using the average estimated customer savings presented on Powur customer solar proposals. Lifetime savings estimates on proposals factor in available data such as 1) system size, 2) estimated system production (which is impacted by shading, roof face, panel efficiency and other factors), 3) current utility rate or replacement cost, 4) estimated future utility rate or replacement cost, 5) financing cost, and 6) an average system lifetime of 25 years.

Avoided Carbon Emissions. Powur uses true aggregated customer data to obtain total system size and estimated lifetime production for 2022 installations to arrive at the total number of kilowatt hours of energy that will be replaced by solar installation and therefore the equivalent amount of estimated lifetime avoided kilowatt hours of energy generated by fossil fuels. In arriving at this figure we assume 1) that 100% of electricity produced by installed systems will be used either directly at the home where it is produced or through net metering flowing back to the grid and 2) an average system lifetime of 25 years. The final amount of avoided kwh of energy is then input into the EPA greenhouse gas equivalency calculator to arrive at the total estimated lifetime avoided carbon emissions from systems installed by Powur. The equivalent impacts (e.g. trees planted or miles not driven) are also calculated using the EPA calculator located at https://www.epa.gov/energy/greenhouse-gas-equivalencies-calculator.

Powur is proud to partner with Ecologi to offset the impact of our team members and achieve a carbon-neutral workforce. By 2023, through funding over 56 clean energy projects with Ecologi, Powur has planted 35,859 trees!

In 2011, our founder, Jonathan Budd, visited indigenous tribes in the Amazon with the Pachamama Alliance, inspiring him to create Powur. As of 2023, our partnership remains strong, with Powur contributing 4% of profits to PA, serving as a major fundraising sponsor, and providing opportunities for sales consultants to engage in PA educational programs.
